Emily Cox

I am a neurodivergent therapist who loves supporting people move past barriers and find their strengths through creativity and connection.

I use an empowering and creative approach to connect and support clients in discussing their needs. Sometimes talking about the things we struggle with can be hard. I often add in expressive arts techniques to help ease the way.

Using creative approaches can be especially helpful with young children with big feelings, teens unsure about the talk therapy process, and those working through trauma that can be difficult to discuss through words. I often use creativity, collaboration, and expression in my work. This may look like an expressive art drawing process, a guided visual journaling activity, a narrative prompt, or a Sandtray therapy session. We can find other ways of expression outside of the verbal spectrum.
